Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of LocalHelpLawnCare.com ("the Platform"), operated by LocalHelp LawnCare ("we," "us," "our"). By using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Platform

LocalHelp LawnCare is a marketplace that connects customers who need lawn care services with independent contractors ("Mowers") who provide those services. We are a technology platform — we do not employ Mowers, and we do not directly perform lawn care services.

2. Customer Terms

By submitting a mow request, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate contact information (name, email, phone) and property address.
  • Ensure safe access to the property for the Mower, including securing pets and removing obstacles.
  • Pay the quoted price for completed services. Prices are flat-rate based on lawn size tier and are displayed before you submit.
  • Submit a photo of your lawn's current condition when requested. This helps ensure accurate pricing and sets expectations for the Mower.

3. Contractor (Mower) Terms

By registering as a Mower, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate personal information and a valid government-issued ID for identity verification.
  • Youth contractors (under 18) must provide parent/guardian consent and their guardian's government-issued ID.
  • Only claim jobs you have the equipment and ability to complete within 24 hours.
  • Provide a completion photo of the finished lawn as proof of service.
  • Maintain your own equipment and personal liability coverage. You are an independent contractor, not an employee of LocalHelp LawnCare.
  • Treat customers, their property, and their neighbors with respect.

4. Pricing & Fees

  • Flat-rate pricing is determined by lawn size tier (Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large).
  • A convenience fee (currently $3.50) is added to each order.
  • LocalHelp LawnCare retains a commission (15-20%) on each completed job. The remainder is paid to the Mower.
  • Prices may change. The price displayed at the time of your order submission is the price you pay.

5. Account & Security

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • Do not share your login with others.
  • Report any unauthorized access to your account immediately.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

6. Contractor Approval & Removal

All Mower accounts require admin approval before they can accept jobs. We may revoke approval or remove a Mower's account at any time for:

  • Failure to complete claimed jobs.
  • Customer complaints or consistently low ratings.
  • Fraudulent identity verification.
  • Unsafe or unprofessional behavior.

7. Photos & Content

Photos uploaded to the Platform (lawn condition photos, completion photos, ID verification photos) are used solely for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy. Lawn and completion photos may be visible to customers and contractors associated with that order.

8. Limitation of Liability

LocalHelp LawnCare is a marketplace platform. We connect customers with independent Mowers but do not guarantee the quality, timeliness, or outcome of any service. We are not liable for:

  • Property damage caused by a Mower.
  • Injuries sustained by Mowers while performing services.
  • Disputes between customers and Mowers.

We will make reasonable efforts to mediate disputes and remove bad actors from the platform.

9. Service Area

The Platform currently serves Painesville and Lake County, Ohio. We may expand to additional areas. If your address falls outside our service area, you may join our waitlist to be notified when we expand.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.
